This tree blooms crimson red flowers from April to October.

Erythrina is a low maintenance plant, it prefers full sun and the minimum temperature it bears is approximately -5°C.

It prefers fresh soils, rich in organic matter and well drained. However, this tree is rather rustic and consequently manages to adapt well to other types of soil.
