Euonymus japonicus microphyllus

Euonymus japonicus microphyllus is an evergreen compact shrub native to Japan (perhaps even China and Korea).

The plant has been introduced as ornamental or hedge plant. It is a compact, dwarf plant with small leathery green leaves. Leaves are opposite with serrate margins.

Flowers appear in Summer, small and non-ornamental  flower while fruits appear in Autumn.

Euonymus japonicus microphyllus is usually used to create hedges, borders or even as a groundcover. It is a landscaping plant can reach a maximum height of 3 mt about.

The plant well tolerate sun exposition as well as shade areas; it tolerates different kind of soils.

Euonymus japonicus microphyllus does not tolerate wet conditions.
