Osmanthus Heterphyllus , is an ever green plant native of Japan. It is very appreciate as a shrub but can be used even as a small tree.

The beautiful features of this plant are leaves and flowers: leaves are opposite and dentate, dark green above and pale-yellow below. Flowers are yellow or white often hidden in foliage, very small but very fragrante at same time. Sometimes they are followed by small dark fruits like berries. The plant blooms in Autumn and Winter.

Osmanthus heterophyllus resists to cold temperature up to -20°C. It prefers full sun/partial shade position and a well-drained soil. The plant no needs specific maintenance neither a regular pruning. Usually is free from diseases.
